Which baby boy gift do you like better?

I think both are adorable and I can’t decide. My friend is having a baby boy this month. Which do you prefer?

Need suggestions for a diaper bag…?

It is the 1 thing I still need that I can’t decide on. I don’t want to use just the crap one that they give you at the hospital; simply because I can buy one (if I ever pick one I like LOL) and I want one. I had a Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack for my 2.5 YO daughter. But it was pink quilted and this baby is a boy for sure. Our daughter is potty trained so all we ever bring for her is a potty seat cover that folds, a cup, and a small snack/two. I am going to be breastfeeding for at least 6 months with this baby, and by that point he will be getting some solids with his milk, whether it’s expressed for formula. So I won’t be lugging bottles at all basically. He has a bundle me for his car seat and I like to keep a small waffle knit blanket, a hat, a change of clothes, about 6 diapers, a travel thing of wipes, changing pad, pacifier pod, and then my keys, wallett, cell and chapstick. The one and only true requirement that this bag MUST have is the "stroller clip" option, whether they be built in or snap on I don’t care. But it MUST have this option. I DO NOT want something that is specifically a backpack. I prefer either a tote/shoulder/messanger bag. I would like to spend 60-70; but would spend up to 0 if I can’t help it. I do have a diff. Petunia bag that I am barely stopping myself from ordering; I just want to be sure there is nothing I like more that is the same/less $. I don’t want a bag that has characters/cutesy baby crap all over it. It may be a bag to hold the baby’s stuff; but I have to carry it. Also I do NOT like the Vera Bradely bags at ALL!
I’ve seem that one at Walmart and it’s a totally fine bag. However for our needs my 1 main requirement is that the bag have the stroller clips either built in or able to hook onto the bag. This does not

Do you use a diaper bag enough to justify…?

… the 0+ price tag of a petunia pickle bottom? I remember liking the free black diaper bag the hospital gave me just fine, lol. Plus, after a certain point around 4 months, if I couldn’t stuff it into my purse I deemed it wasn’t necessary to carry along. Does anyone really love carrying a purse, shopping bags or souvenirs, and a huge diaper bag too?

My birthday is soon, and I think I will be asking my hubby for a petunia pickle bottom bag. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Cosmopolitian style (the one that looks like an old time Dr.s bag) in cream tweed with black velvet. I think the society satchel is OK, but I am not sure how practical the deisgn of it is. I do also really love the Cameo clutch one, in the same black and cream coloring. But I am not sure, again, how practical this styling is. If you have one of the 3, which is it; and how well does it function for you. I have a soon to be 12 month old, and we are TTC again. I dont like to carry a purse and a diaper bag so it needs to not only hold the baby stuff; but also my wallet and a tube of lipstick ect. For my daughter we are basically done with bottles and never need extra outfits, all we ever have with us is a small bowl with food; diapers and wipe; a changing pad; and a sippy of water. But if we have another baby we will need all the typical stuff for a newborn. Which do you think?

Where to buy cute inexpensive tote diaper bags?

I find that I am using my daughters diaper bag less and less the older she is. For us to go out all we need is her dieppes and wipees bag with 2 diapers and wipes case. Some sort of snack, usually gerber graduate puffs; and a sippy cup. If we are heading out during/around bed time we bring jammies and a bottle, but otherwise thats it. I was planning on getting a Petunia Pickle Bottom bag for my birthday next week (I love the CAKE bags). But now I think I am going to hold off (since we are TTC again. Kamryn isnt even 12 months yet, but I feel like she dosnt need almost anything to go out. And all I can remember is up until my cousins were like 3 she carried this ugly diaper backpack FULL to the brim with crap. I wonder what she had int there? LOL. Also when you used it, did/does your diaper bag strictly function as something to carry around the baby/kids stuff in, or did you get a super cute one and use it for your bag too?
Rather then carrying 2 bags, since she needs so little stuff; I have resorted to using large Coach bags for both of us. I just got the new signature stripe tote a month or two ago and I am able to fit all of my stuff in it, and when she needs stuff to go out that all fits too. Its nice just being able to add her stuff to my bag that I LOVE rather then switching back and forth ot have 2 seperate bags.
OOps I got ahead of myself up there. My Aunt was the one that carried around the ugly crap filled bag until her youngest was 3 LOL.
Angelbaby-man you really are prepared for ANYTHING lol. I cant be bothered with THAT much stuff. If she gets too dirty she gets naked LOL (unless its winter or cold of course). Kam is 11 months and she has been eating table food for a long time now so I dont really worry about bringing food with me, just a snack.

I’m thinking of getting one of these two bags. I’m trying to decide which will be more functional in the long haul. We have a 6 month old and a 3 year old and we hope to have a 3rd baby in the next year or so. I currently carry a PPB Touring Tote and it works fine, but it packed pretty tightly between the two kids, especially if we’re going to be out more than a couple hours.

Does anyone actually carry these bags after they are past the diaper bag stage? They’re beautiful and I’m trying to reason in my head that I will carry it after our kids are past that, but will I?

BTW – I have a gift certificate that would cover the majority of the cost on either of these bags, so I would not be paying the full 0 or 5, if that makes any difference! My other option if I decide against either of these bags is to get another touring tote and a Cake Cameo clutch (because the Cake bags are just so pretty!!!).

Also – if anyone has the Society Satchel, could you tell me if it zips shut at the top or if it is just totally open?
Also – how large are these bags? I don’t have a store nearby to see either in person!

Vera Bradley diaper bag or tall zip tote?

I am trying to decide between getting a Vera Bradley diaper bag or the tall zip tote. Has anyone used the tall zip tote as a diaper bag? The actual Vera diaper bag seems so big to me and though I know you need the space it still seems a little much. Any suggestions???

Has anyone ever used a diaper bag as a purse?

I really like the Petunia Pickle Bottom bags, but the thing is I don’t have kids or babies. I was just wondering if anyone else has maybe like a diaper bag and used it for a purse? Thanks.

I have the Petunia Pickle Bottom CAKE Society Satchel. The bag came with a gorgeous goldtoned wipes case with pink trim. Well somewhere somehow the wipe case got lost over the weekend. I looked on Ebay and none of the cases were for sale. I have 2 other bags but one came with a solid black case, that beautifully says "Cake" on it with detail. And another that is much simpler Petunia Pickle on it in black cheaper plastic. Neither compare to the one I formally had. If anyone has one they’d be willing to sell me (provided pictues look decent and authentic), or if you know where I can get a replacement please let me know! THanks
